Hi sir ...
Sir delta should be Lsin(theta) n instead of Lcos(theta) coz here the spring is being streching in real we are not giving any type of virtual displacement so there shouldn't be any kind of variation

Del(Yb) = 2 cos theta.
Kaise.
Yb small hai, 2 cos theta long vertical length hai.

Why it's not satisfying....
since theta is decreasing -∆theta
Since M is in opposite sense to ∆theta it's -M
And -∆theta × -M = +M∆theta
Why this isn't satisfying with your
-M∆theta
