I'm from London but I worked in LA for a year about 15 years ago. One night I was exploring Griffith Park and I parked my car to stretch my legs. I'd parked close to Table 29. I had no idea of it's history - it was just an odd sight. As was checking it out, all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I realized I was absolutely terrified. I was being watched and felt waves of hatred and malice coming from behind the trees. I'd never felt so threatened in my life and I got the hell out of their. I soon forgot about it until two years ago when I saw videos about Table 29 on YouTube.

Born and raised in LA. I've hiked all Griffith Park since I was like 7 years old. I've hiked late nights and early nights. I've seen owls, snakes, bobcats, deer, coyote, tarantula, scorpion, hawks, skunks, ringtail fox, and I once saw a puma, I've never seen a ghost or anything like that but wildlife at night become more active because there are less people around and sometimes these animals make odd noises at night and when you're hiking at night and hear noises your mind will think its anything.

I liked that "Cruel Summer" guitar rendition at the beginning. Took me a second to recognize it. This was a great episode, but they all are!

Of the top of my head I remembered that my family celebrated easter at Griffith Park. It was packed with families and everyone just having fun but we started noticing that a ton of helicopters were flying over us. Turned out a kid fell down a sewer pipe when he decided to go exploring with his cousins. It was just a surreal feeling of everyone on their phones watching the news for updates about a kid that wasn't even that far from us. This was in 2018.

Griffith Park is gorgeous and DEFINITELY very strange. I used to go up there almost every weekend - with or without friends - hiking or biking. I know every inch of that park on and off trail and I've been there at all hours of the day and night. My brothers and I would frequently sneak in for late night hikes and even stay out there until sunrise...drinking beers and "dodging" rangers. I haven't seen any hiding man (yet), but man, I / my brothers and friends have seen some really weird sh!t.
Rest in Paradise to all those who have passed in the park and P-22...you are missed!

Took a few field trips to Griffith Park as a kid and teen, and once with my mom. I loved that place. It was beautiful in those days.

Grew up next to the park. Remember at age 5 going up to the observatory to watch all the fireworks across the city. It was amazing. Took my driving lessons there in high school (late 60s). Got stranded learning to drive during a major rainstorm. The roads on the hill sides looked like waterfalls. Lots of adventures and good memories there.

Glad I found Steve's channel, was checking in missing persons channel for months. They're boring as can be, content and narration. This is much better

Hey steve. Been to griffith park many times and the observatory . (Im southern California). L.A is a bit out of the way for me so i dont go there much these days and unfortunately like alot of areas of LA county, the park has seen an increase of unstable homeless. Glad to see you covering the legends of it. Take care ✌️

Dory Previn wrote and recorded "Mary C Brown and the Hollywood Sign, " using that name instead of Peg Entwhistle. It's an interesting song.
Edit. I am not a real warm and fuzzy person, but I want to say that if you are struggling, don't give up. Peg gave up one day too soon. The day after she jumped, a letter arrived offering her a role.

Thanks for covering my childhood haunt. I even went to High School in Griffith Park. I miss it more now... thank you for reminding me of some of the more exciting aspects of my former home.

In the mid eighties as a teen, my boyfriend and I drove an hour north to attend Pink Floyd The Wall at Griffith Observatory. We were winding up the hill and halfway way up we both decided that we couldn’t find the place and turned around and went home! To this day I don’t understand what happened.
