This is an awesome video. Even if I wasn't interested in the topic, it's just the way an instructional video should be created. "Here is how you do this. Here is how you do this. Click this. Click that." No nonsense, just actual instructions on how to do what the title of the video advertises.

Hi, thank you for making this tutorial. I want to bring to your attention that your Blender link goes directly to Steam, which you recommend because it updates automatically, however the error thrown that other people have mentioned (the module not found exception) requires using an older version (2.79) which isn't what's on steam... and I don't think there's a way to get the older version from Steam. Anyway, it's a little bit of mixed messaging. Just fyi. If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to correct me! Thank you again for taking the time to make this useful tutorial!

I set all of this up and my ending screen was exactly the same as you showed, but I'm not able to import .mwm files. Is this covered in a later video?

ho yes the demand for animated blocs is there
and edges
and characters
i'm sorry you are the only place where there is this info
and if it does somhow exist anywhere... well it's wraped in overcomplicatedness

please do a long long (yes i know it's a pain) series looking at all aspects (as far as you know)



side note on maya/3dmax you can make model, colision mesh, contruction steps and then just import all that in blender
where it just a matter of a few button presses (textures, colision world, mirroring, mountpoints, export)

btw(v2 still works for the most part^^)

Do we have to download the Microsoft redistributables in the video if we have newer redistributables (example: a 2017 redistributable)?

Hey Shaostoul i followed this video and the others in the SE modding guide playlist and managed to get my block in game however the model is huge; way bigger that the one block it is supposed to be, do you have any idea what might be causing that?

I followed your previous batch of tutorials from early this year, (they were great btw) and I followed along perfect except, when I try to render a model in blender or with the nvidia tool or put it in game it shows up as completely black. Even if texturing is outside the scope of your tutorials which I understand could you at least point us to a good resource for all the things you have to do to make a object not be a black hole. I downloaded a blend WIP that someone posted on the keen forums and what they have for texturing and what I have after the tutorials are miles apart. I'd be happy just to use one of the default SE textures for say a light armor cube.

How complex would it be to take an already made mod, recolor the thrust and the re-upload to steam? also Ive been looking into saving some mods, but im new to this.... I was going to work on the old shadowflux, used mining equipment as it is one of the few and only rusty mods on the workshop, though ive been told i will be needed to retexture the whole mod, as in i cant use the old ones?

The Microsoft Visual C++ Packages Download is no longer available. Is it bad if I dont have that? Or can I get it somewhere else?
