Why This Prison Created Father-Daughter Dances for Inmates

Many little girls dream of dancing with their dads, and this Virginia jail's mission is to reunite inmates with their daughters in an evening of glitz and glamour. Dapper dads at the Richmond City Justice Center dressed up in suits and ties to lead their little girls in the jail's sixth annual father-daughter dance. The goal is to help inmates have better lives outside prison by encouraging them to bond with their families. #InsideEdition

This is what prisons need, they need to make more programs for the inmates to participate. More enrichment and education as well as little things like father daughter dances. This is how they rehabilitate back to society because if you just lock them away and do nothing the more they go back to their old ways. Ofc some can't be helped but many others can learn.

awesome. these men hopefully will learn from their past mistake and not be blinded by what the "outside" temptation has to offer. its gonna be tough as an ex con, but once you start with the poor me excuses your more likely to re-offend

This is cool, unless the father is in prison for murdering the mother of his child. My friend has been missing and was claimed to be dismembered, but he says it was a "suicide" and his ass is basically just in for a damn drug charge! I really hope he never gets to see his daughter again!!

How is everyone doing today. I was actually one of the men in the father daughter dance experience. It truly changed me in do many ways I am grateful to the program and it has given me another chance. Never look down at people for poor choices sometimes the smallest consideration can restore their lives.
