We say sorry all the time in England but if he lives in London he is probably used to less warm people.

lol. yeah when you say 'sorry' in those situations it's more a way of placating the other person or in turn he's letting you know "nothing personal but i'm sick for heroin" XD
i'd much prefer that than a gun in my mouth if i was robbed lol
