We are saddened to hear of the passing of country music legend Joe Bonsall. He was a member of The Oak Ridge Boys for more than 50 years and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the group. We were honored to have him stop by Larry's Country Diner with The Oak Ridge Boys over the years and are honored to share this collection of great songs to remember him.

In 1983 I was i young guy working in truck stop on midnights. On lunch break 3:30 a m . Joe Bonsall played a couple of games of Joust with me, got a picture and everyone signed it for my wife. I only spent 30 minutes around Mr Bonsall, vut it was long enough to know that he was a true gentleman thak you for a memory

My heart is breaking. The Oaks have been a favorite group of mine for so many years, and Joe was the spark in the act. Great tenor, fabulous personality, and such a kind man. He and his family kept his ALS private, which was certainly their right.
Fans just weren’t aware of the severity of his disease.
I know the Oak RidgeBoys are headed toward retiring. Duane lost his wife and William Lee lost his son, both tragedies were very recently.
I think the Oaks have given us so many years of joy, great songs and wonderful concerts. They are entitled to take time for themselves and families.
I’m glad Joe is out of his pain, my prayers are with his family. I’ll miss him so very much. I treasure all my concert memories, and am grateful I never got rid of my vinyl albums. I’ll never stop listening to The Oak Ridge Boys.
R.I.P., Sweet Joe. 😢💔

Back in the seventies when I worked at the Cow Palace on North Tejon and Nevada streer in Colorado springs, The oak ridge boys came in after hours and sang with us and then we all went to breakfast at the waffle House on 8th Street.
I'll never forget it it was wonderful and fun.
