Ingredients:
500g lean beef mince
50g beef liver
1 egg
100g fresh or frozen berries (you can use strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or mixed berries)
Optional: A small handful of fresh garden herbs (such as parsley, coriander or mint leaves)
Directions:
1. In a food processor, blend all ingredients until smooth.
2. Scoop the mixture onto a dehydrator rack lined with baking paper.
3. Place another sheet of baking paper over the mixture and using a rolling pin, flatten the mixture into 3-4mm thick.
4. Dehydrate in 70C temperature for 10-12 hours or until both surfaces are completely dry. If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can bake in the oven at a similar temperature.
5. Let cool completely and chop to your desired treat size.
6. Store in an airtight container/bag in a dry, cool place for up to 2 weeks or in the fridge for up to a month. You can also put a food-grade silica gel packet to help keep the treats dry.
