It’s so refreshing to hear a minister unabashedly support counseling in the Body of Christ!
Having been a Life Coach for over 30 years, I’ve seen too many Christians say they don’t need counseling because all they need is Jesus - and they’re often the ones who need it most. I find that often those who are so adamant that knowing Christ means there’s never any need for internal work and healing are really just using that as an excuse to avoid introspection and growth. Thank you so much for all that you preach - and for bringing this truth to light!! Your ministry is a great blessing to me!

This actually just happened to us. We took in a sister in a sister in the Lord who was living in her broken down car. We gave her a cot to sleep on and a warm place to be to stay out of the cold. She got offended when we said not yet to her friends coming for a prayer meeting and it got so bad so fast. She started sending us txt of how evil we are… I was able to see she was speaking out of her pain and trauma and I began to bind up trauma and drama because she was being overly dramatic about what she believed she had against us. She said she was being tormented by us but we were not. I sought God on how to respond and he led me to Isaiah 40 Comfort Comfort my people Speak tenderly to the heart … I did this and it totally defused her and she became sweet again… it was Amazing praise the father . 😮❤ wow !

What People need is the pure and simple gospel. They need to understand faith righteousness and what Jesus accomplished for them and freely gives them through His death, burial and resurrection. Deliverance ministries and inner healing keep people focused on self and the past. For me those things were a yoke of bondage. There was always one more demon to deal with, one more trauma to address, one more thing to dig up. When the gospel frees us from our past and gives us a whole new life. People need to understand identity and then walk out righteousness.

I’m so glad I finally started counseling to unpack the mess going on in my soul. Thank God for community leaders in my small group that was able to see and hear the trauma and pull me aside and recommend I seek help. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
