How do you separate the ergot from the grain? I tried to avoid harvesting the stalks that had it but I may have some I didn't notice.

To avoid diseases, practice crop rotation. Make some compost tea for your grains, to boost yield. Apply monthly. You can find a nitrogen fixing cover crop like alfafa or peas

ergot is bad stuff. Years ago I read that settlers in Massachusetts (Pilgrims, etc.) may have hallucinated on ergot. Not sure if that was ever proven. But it explained (in theory) why the witch hunts were so extreme. I think they were just nuts in the first place, but my theory isn't sound either :) Nice video! TY!
