Paralyzed dog is surprised that her tail is moving 🐶🐾

Dobby was born as an able bodied dog. But at the mere age of 2.5 months life change for her irrevocably and she lost her ability to walk with her rear legs.

She has since come such a long way, learning how to walk on her front limbs alone. Learning to use the dog wheelchair. Increasing her stamina. Not letting the disability get the best of her. And learning something new every day.

She has now been paralyzed for about 3 years now. And yet.. these moments, moments that radiate hope , they bring us so much joy. Our hearts skip a beat. We take a moment to appreciate how far Dobby’s come and how amazing she is. This may or may not mean anything at all. And yet, it brings us so joy and clearly it amuses Dobby too as you can see her looking at her own tail moving 😊

#accessibility - In this video, Dobby, our disabled dog, is on her rubber mat standing tall on her front limbs and watching Pawdad closely . And then she proceed to turn around and sit down on the side to get a better view of Pawdad. And in that moment, her tail makes a wagging movement , involuntary mostly, but she notices it too and looks at her tail in slow motion . Such fleeting moments still bring us joy because for us there is always hope. If not hope of her walking, it’s the hope that she will live a long , healthy and happy life ❤️

My dog had been paralyzed after a terrible fall. Like you, I had to express her bladder several times a day, and was her 'back legs' until she was able to start using them again. (Thank the Lord!) It's hard work (still), but I'm blessed to have her. I'll keep Dobby in my prayers! There is hope, especially with such great signs!! ❤❤❤
