This Shouldn't Have Worked #simracing #iracing #racinggames

Sometimes you take a punt on outside odds. Sometimes it works! Here's an overtake that shouldn't really have been pulled off, but that's racing - sometimes you hit your marks perfectly and the defender is faced with an unexpected car in an unexpected place.

"I can't physically drive through them" we've all been there

This corner is surprisingly good for outside overtakes, it opens up more that people think and the camber on the outside allows you to carry a lot more speed, sweet move

That mid corner slide had me clenching my teeth, hell of a move my good sir.
Really enjoy your content, your instructional shorts are excellently done and will help improve sim racers everywhere. I look forward to seeing you get bigger as people see the quality of your stuff.
Nice one!

This reminds me how I made a move on the outside into T1 at Suzuka in the good ole Williams FW31. 11 to 12 years ago, I had made passes staying towards the outside onto T1 going into T2 for Suzuka. I was able to keep momentum since I had the lane for exits on both turns. It also reminds me how I had to fight another driver through the Esses at Suzuka after T2. We were neck and neck at each turn in the Esses but I prevailed and came out on top. Moves like this are possible. Its the matter of how confident you are with the car. You will think outside the box and do what it takes.

how do you capture these camera views at the end where you're free looking around?

I don’t even do sim racing but I am somewhat of a racing fan.
That said, I watch a couple of these shorts every night and I’m glad they’ve ended up in my regular feed.

Thank you for these gems. I’m learning a lot about lap by lap strategy and how to actually compete.

Just like Alonso passing Schumacher in the 2000. A little bit different tho.

The other driver must have seen the writing on the wall. He is smart to just back out as he knows he was fighting a losing battle. Losing a place is better than DNF

Alonso did that around Schumacher in 2006. That was on the wet though

You had the far better line into T5. He was too close to the apex too early. He messed up at T4 and needed to be more to the left for entering T5. This is my fastest track 🥰

There's multiple ways you can take that turn. In the middle isn't really that bad. To be honest some of my fast individual lap times were taking that turn a little wide.
