Exploring an abandoned ghost island, torn by war

In this third episode of Kuwait, we explore the Island of Failaka for another day. It's place with a turbulent past. During the Gulf War, Iraqi forces occupied the island, forcing its 2,000 residents to flee. After the war, Failaka was largely abandoned and later repurposed for military training. As we venture through its remains, we explore abandoned mosques, villas, a school and more.

I've been to Kuwait, not that particular island but I was deployed there in 2003. 2 months after the Iraq War started. On the outskirts of each city there you could still see the destruction from the gulf War. I did have opportunities to go to Kuwait city an it was beautiful, it's sad that this island suffered cause despite being a desert climate it was beautiful. I have good memories from the Persian gulf!

11:53 that GMC Suburban is worth about $25, 000-$32, 000 US dollars on the used car market in North America! Highly sought after body on frame suv. I once owned a 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali. Its the successor to the GMC Suburban. Incredibly reliable. I had it go to 479, 000kms before selling it to the new 3rd owner.
