You really do get what you pay for, right? DJI's stuff is just built better and sounds way better than the Neewer CM28. That's gotta be why everyone's all over DJI mics.

Great review! Did you update the firmware on the DJI Mic 2? I've heard that the latest update improves the audio quality.

My thoughts on the indoor test without noise reduction...
The Neewer CM28 has a much more open sound with brighter highs and more room sound. The DJI Mic 2 sounds more rounded/polished and like it has some processing even with noise reduction off. It's hard to tell because of the audio level difference too.

Very thorough review though. I appreciate all the details covered. I currently have the Neewer CM28 and so far I am impressed for the bang for buck that you get with it.

Debating whether the DJI Mic 2 is worth the price to upgrade. One thing that is hard to rationalize is the fact that both have non-replaceable batteries so paying a decent amount more is hard to justify if they end up dying down the road.
