Welcome to Part 3 of my Milky Way Series! In this video, I review HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH THE MILKY WAY in a straightforward and simply way. I give details on the camera settings you should use for both still images as well as shooting a Milky Way timelapse. Join me as I travel to a lake in northern Vermont to apply the settings and skills that I review in the first half of the video. You'll get a sneak peak into other aspects of my Vermont life outside of photography and also see that photography outings don't always go exactly as planned. Enjoy!

You are a star yourself. You explain things so clearly and concisely, it’s refreshing to know we all have difficulties and failures on the way to that one perfect shot

I disagree with you assumption that the time lapse was ruined. The lights and extra flashes adds to the story. Great job! - Jim

Despite the light pollution, you're right: it's a good example. All your three tutorials are full of useful information. Thanks a lot Brenda.

Your explanation of terms, settings are easily understood and how to use PhotoPills is excellent. I would have been very happy with that time lapse. Nice job. I will re-watch all your video's on the Milky Way Series.

That was a really nice time lapse sequence. The car lights and “party” added to it I reckon. I’m going to have a go!

This three part series is the clearest explanation on using photocells to the equipment and setting for milky way photos I've seen. Thank you so much.

Great series Brenda I’ve watched them all after your Friday PhotoPills series episode on Milky Way. I often take a self inflating mat to help my knees and also to just lie back and marvel at the night sky.

I just came across these videos. Even with the cars coming by and the occasional blast of light, the time-lapse was still epic.
