Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez definitely "feels better than a couple of weeks ago", after hitting a three-run homer off Aaron Nola to break a scoreless tie and give the Mets a lead for good. Francisco Lindor had to leave the game after "jamming my back" hitting the second base bag while unsuccessfully trying to stretch a single into a double. With a big lead, Lindor exited but hopes to play on Saturday. Lindor: "I would hope to play tomorrow... it's tight but good enough."

These reporters should speak a little slower to alvy. It's amazing he speaks English as well as he does. But they should be more considerate. I took 6 years of Spanish and there is no way I'd be able to do what he does in these interviews. Props to my guy Alvy. Love this man - lucky to have him as a Met!
