Alex Jones' Infowars purchased by The Onion

The satirical site The Onion has purchased Infowars, the media platform owned by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. The Onion in its purchase received the support of Sandy Hook families who won over $1.4 billion in a defamation judgment against Jones in 2022. A court had ruled that Jones' assets, including the media company, had to be sold to compensate the families. Lilia Luciano reports.

If you'd listened to Alex Jones, you'd have known about Lolita Island a year earlier. He got intgo Bohemian Grove and filmed the opening ceremonies. The guy;'s a mixed bag but worth listening to along with other news sources. I'm not afraid to hear other voices. Obviously he was guilty of slander in this case and paid the price.

This means nothing. As a twenty plus year daily listener of the broadcast, I was listening this morning when it got shut down. The crew literally drove down the street to another studio, flipped a switch, and carried on as usual. Only now, with the Trump sweep last week this is going to bring TENS OF MILLIONS of new followers to the platform. It's the equivalent of Darth Vader striking down Obi Wan.
