my plan was somewhat similar, I started as an apostle with max wis and ego. my goal was to posses high preacher from stilt. and since I didn't want to level up that high, I had a plan where I go kill the mamon and take his prism. Why care about my character since I'm gonna abandon it tight?
So now I just had to get to lvl20 and simply posses him, simple.
But my plans changed, I found sentience spray as well, and spray it on the same door. In short I died as level 30 door against the sludges, it turns out if there is a speck if blood in soup and sludge forms, it's gonna have a live drain ability. and comfortable seep 20 hp from you. since it procs 6 times, it does 120 damage. The real problem was, is what I'm the door and 70 move speed is abysmal. so 8 sludges start draining me for 1000 hp per turn, cuz I can still get stunned or get pronned for some reason and I didn't get extra legs, this killed me so damn quick. I'm kinda angry but not really. sludges and null gels are like that, you just don't touch them.

Oh man, I'm so sad I'm seeing this so late. A year or two ago I used a similar strat to become a chrome pyramid. I think I killed myself as the shapeshifter to make the domination permanent and then dug straight down under the 6 day stilt to some absurd depth to fight true nightmares that would allow me to max level without actually having to travel anywhere. Then I headed over to where the pyramids live and took one over. I don't remember the details... I think because of their level and mine the chance is very small. I think I planned to save scum or something but it happened to work on the first try.

Not-so-fun-fact: Chrome pyramids, while powerful, suck to play because they see everything in green (i think it was... maybe blue...?). The game becomes nearly unplayable.
