The McLaren F1 has to be one of the most impressive cars of all time

The F1 is truly a amazing car. It came out in 1993, it can do over 240MPH, 0-60 in 3.1, and a prototype did the nurburgringin 7:11. With modern tires it could probably get into the high 2s range for 0-60 and possibly even do a sub 7 minute lap. It took 16 years for a car to beat it around the nurburgring and it took 13 years for its top speed to be beaten. It is still a hypercar today which shows how bat shit insane it was in 1993. It is truly one of the best cars ever.

The F1 was the car that got me to love cars. The F1 is my all time favorite car EVER! PERIOD! I was 8 years old when the F1 came out in 93 and my first time seeing that machine was in a video game. Need for speed 2.

I'm ashamed of myself. I've lived in Auckland, New Zealand for over 30 years (where Bruce McLaren is from) and I still haven't visited his memorial/museum where he used to live above a gas station.
