Xiaomi China has stated that phones pre-installed with GMS (which is snapdragon 800 series phones) will continue to be able to use Google apps. Therefore the miui 12.5 won't affect them. However all mediatek and snapdragon 700 series and lower chips in China don't come with GMS pre-installed and are not Google certified so they will be affected.

Bro will the global variant come with Google services enabled or not. Because I am living in India and I am just waiting for this to be launched in India for me to buy. If the Mi ui 12.5 is something like the Huawei then it's a complete no no to me

Wow! This is a very cool gaming phone design. I think it can still run google apps, Google Playstore services is just not installed by default. I did this in my K30 I manually installed Google play services.

No wonder it's much more cheaper compare to other K40 series despite its a gaming phone. No GMS Support. Out of the box MIUI 12.5. only exclusive to china. China is pushing their own OS to their CN devices. Makes sense. This one will stay in CN. Hope they decide to release it on Global market and rebrand it and add GMS to it. Great phone.

It should be relatively easy on Qualcomm devices (despite Mi Unlock tool being carcinogenic) to flash the global rom if the global version ever arrives or if there's a Xiaomi EU rom available. It is definitely a good idea to wait until either of those things are available before buying a China release

as far as i investigated only xiaomi china phones with snapdragon series 8XX will support google play but not others processors
