Check out the Seymour Duncan Vise Grip! Capable of everything from barely-perceptible to full-on-lock-down, the Blend control is the cool feature that allows you to dial-in the perfect amount of compression. 18V operation allows for even more clean headroom, but the Vise Grip can do its thing at 9V as well. I really like the transparency, versatility, and intuitive-operation of this pedal; it does a lot but it's easy to get what you want. Clean or distorted, a compressor is an invaluable part of my signal-chain and the Vise Grip does whatever I need it to. Thanks for watching!

How would this pedal compare to a dbx 166xl rack compressor? just wanting to buy one of these two and im debating if i should go rack or pedal depending on the sound quality

I see, you may use it at 9 volt till 18 volts……is there any diverence in sound?

this looks good, but I have had several compressor pedals, and I always end up ripping them of my board to cut throughout the live mix - they always seem to soften the signal too much for me, even at a lower setting - is there a comp pedal that can cut through the mix nice and clear, because I do love the effect. thanks

Will this work well with the Fender Mustang 1 amp / Champion 40 or would that be just a bit "overkill" for these amps???

I only have one question:if the sustain knob affects ratio what happens when i hsve both a ratio and a sustwin knob in a compressor? I was trying to choose between the vise grip and the warden by earthquaker. I just don't understand what does the sustain knob actually do in a pedal
