I'd heard about a 2CV with two engines to give it 4wd, but it was produced long before 2CVs were imported into UK in 1970's. That, and the small production run, means I've never actually seen one - so thank you...

You have to love people who choose to answer the question “Why not.... ?” rather than “Why... ?”. There really is no reason to build a car like this other than to show it can be done and to have some fun along the way.

2CV's are so funky. they have their own kind of cool.

As a 4x4 2 engine Sahara is now a Classic Anomaly. To resurrect the model is great. To see it in action. well done

Wonder how hard it is to sync both engines. It's tricky enough to sync two carbs let alone two engines. Looks like a lot of fun :D

That's pretty epic...it doesn't quite look like 2CV when in motion any more, I guess that's a side effect of the different weight distribution and FWD. Good luck with her!

The concept is everything else than "weird", this idea was already built and sold in series (a small series though, under 700 pieces) by Citroen from 1960 to 1968 following Wikipedia, was called 2 CV Sahara and is, to date, one of the most capable cars when it comes to simple all wheel drive technology, reliable like a 2 CV, to repair with a Swiss army knife and a yard of wire, goes with next to no gasoline next to everywhere. The philosophy behind the original "Sahara" 2 CV, or the 2 CV at all, is what lacks most in todays weird thinking, vastly overpowered, overloaden, car industry.
