F1 22 Has a Cheating Problem

F1 22 and F1 Esports are in a precarious state right now with the ease of access to cheating. EA needs to step in to end the cheats before we lose our competitions.

I've never usderstood people who cheat, it only goes one of 2 ways:
1. Well done you won with a massive unfair advantage
2. Well done you lost while cheating you must be terrible
Guys don't cheat, either love the game and try to get better (or play on your own so no one else gets effected) or don't play the game

Glad to see the ESPORTS community being vocal about this. Broadbent, Tom97, Jarno, and yourself are really rising to the challenge. This definitely needs to be addressed and dealt with. Virtual Motorsports has so much potential to be huge. This cheating can destroy it in it's infancy.

EA needs to sit up, listen and do something about this, it's getting beyond a joke now. We want genuine league or esport racing without calling into question if the drivers are cheating. The whole Thomas Ronhaar thing is ridiculous, the guy hasn't even come out and spoken about it, he's straight up refused to talk about it or answer any questions. Come on Codemasters/Ea, get this sorted!!!

We all saw this coming since the news broke that EA is absorbing Codemasters.

I knew at the time that F1 2020 was going to be the top tier game and everything after that was going to go downhill.

posted this on jimmy broadbents video: i feel like theres an easy way to filter out the cheaters for esports qualifiers, make it multiple rounds. if a driver is fast enough in the qualifier, they go to a second round in person, like a LAN event would be, and if they're outside a certain delta, they get eliminated. and only the fastest drivers who get through both/all rounds would qualify

I hear F1 24 will be on a new engine (which should finally resolve these issues), but we desperately need EA to come out publicly and address what they've done to stop cheats in the upcoming F1 23 game

I claimed top 10 worldwide times in project cars 2 legitimately on silverstone.

I hold remarkable achievements in sim racing. When I participated in the qualifiers and saw how low I scored, I felt hopeless.

I cannot believe there is evidence of foul play all the way in the highest leagues of esports.

I feel like I’ve achieved legitimate goals on other sims, therefore any cheater who “achieves” something is just a flat out insult to my hard work.

If you lose to a cheater, remember, you’re fast, they’re not, you’re faster than all of them.

I look up to you as a sim racer, and I hope you feel equally if not more insulted by the cheaters stealing the places that could’ve been filled by legitimate sim racers.

Code masters have said they didn't ask carreton to test the cheats.

Maybe we could tell a lot of people to not play the F1 game on a particular game to show codemasters that we care about this.

I think its sad that some people are so bad at racing that they need to use cheats like super high grip to preform well
