It’s disgusting that I am required to carry workmans comp, disability, liability insurance. In the event insurances don’t cover the expenses I can loose everything I own and possibly go to prison.
Work for the government and get sick or injured and nobody is liable and an employee is on their own.

It doesn't matter if this is a Democrat or Republican problem or even a third party's problem who in the right mind would even authorize the use of nuclear power and it doesn't matter if it's CO2 free the end result being the waste that's what makes nuclear energy overall one of the dangerous forms of energy we could ever use besides the chance of having a runaway explosion. If I had a choice I would use every form of renewable energy because then I can cover gaps when it comes to not being able to use one of the forms of energy because the weather conditions are not cooperating for for the day and because some forms of renewable energy are not available everywhere on Earth.

I feel bad for them. Most if not all of these people just as I have in the past, work/ed for the government as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. Unfortunately as an independent contractor you are not afforded the protections given a hired employee. anything that happens is all on you.

You aren’t covered by any Workman comp or disability. Even in the case of gross negligence. It’s the crap sandwich you have to eat. It is stated in legal speak, and you have to agree to it if you want to work.

Wasn't two minutes into the video and I realized this guy probably knew what he was being exposed to but didnt take the nessarcary precautions to avoid or minimize exposure.
Now technically as a employee if the employer told him it was safe or neglected to allow safe work it would fall on the employer.
He stated he worked as a RCT, your whole job is to know contamination and know its biological effects and how to avoid those effects. Along with monitoring those contaminants.
It seems he was either negligent about his work, or he truly didnt understand his work, both are a no go
