Only have experience with the Uno board but every tutorial out there from any provider is based on this board, takes all the guess work out of circuit diagrams etc.

Very happy with my Experimenter Starter Kit I got from ARDX if you are in the UK!

Man that's true im going to do mechatronics on uni. I wasn't really excited tbh but when i had to do a year project and needed arduino and got it, i become addicted to it. I started to love programming and build my own circuits. Im still a newbie but what you say about Arduino being addictive is totally true

I do agree with you wholeheartedly but with one caveat.
Myself being a beginner with electronics I was and am very concerned about damaging the board due to my lack of knowledge. So I actually spent more and went with the Ruggeduino from Rugged Circuits. So far it has worked great and seems to be very comparable to the standard Uno in function.
So I would say if you are new to electronics even though it cost more the Ruggeduino may be a money saver in the long run.

I think that if (by mistake) i do some wrong connection it burns very easily but it is not with mega arduino.

Pls answer according to your experience.
