It all sounds very good, but I wonder how much success will be achieved. De-escalation training, check. Mental health recognition training, check. Implicit bias training, good luck with that one. No amount of training will really help there. Realistically, if a cop views minorities as "threats", then they're gonna "police" those people differently. Even with extensive training, they're perception of certain people will remain the same.You can change how you teach, but you can't change what's in someone's heart.
