Allen Yueh is an American pianist, Applied Mathematics graduate from Harvard University, and DMA graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Dr. Yueh currently is on the piano and theory faculties at CIM.

Finding nice piano technician is much more difficult than finding nice Steinway grand

What is the history of that piano? It seems to need a LOT of major work for it's age and makes me wonder if it will hold up for you. Also why didn't the shop already do some of these adjustments. It seems they were trying to sell the piano "as is" hoping the new owner would accept it. I'm glad you found your instrument, but it was quite and effort. Is this a Steinway authorized dealer?

This is kind of intimidating actually for people like me who wants a grand piano but not really that good at piano yet. Was the piano "ready" per Lindeblad when you first visited, even with the voicing and string buzzing issues?
