GPG All-Rounder Spray Gun Review (Formerly GPi)

This video is a review & demo of the DeVILBISS GPG 'General Purpose Gun', this is basically the same gun as the GPi, which was one of my favorite guns. The main difference between this and the GPi is that it's now available in 1.2 & 1.3mm, this makes it a great all-rounder, capable of most applications.

I need a gun like that . Thumb up Gunman l have learned a lot from you .l have been doing bodý since l left school did a course in painting at Sherin Willams in Jamaica, but did not follow up on it. Came to the United State in in 2014 September .l quickly realize l need to be able to paint, l was'nt going with any thing much, but lwould spend some late nights at a shop where l would learn how to mix the paint and the clear, within four week l was given the gun to lay on the paint and the boss did the clear .l left that shop early November the same year . The next shop l went to l was tossed into the paint booth right man l was nerveious reck, you had all the answers to the questions l would ask as in how to set the gun, how to apply the paint and the clear . Brother you videos are really help full you hide nothing. Thank you very much.

I used an old Gti through my whole apprenticeship on everything except high build primer. It never faulted me it was consistent and I preferred it over the more expensive guns because it was more familiar

At the end of the day it's a Devilbiss so what more can you say, you get an all rounder which will lay practically any paint you have plus you are getting the reliable GTI Pro quality which is a win win in my book, thanks for doing this video Gunny and the finish from the GPG is what you would expect from a top of the range Devilbiss.

It will be great to see the gun in action on your RAW channel mate as I've been missing your daily uploads Gunny but I'm sure you are busy and cant always do them, just hope you are ok and keeping well Gunny, stay safe 🙏👍 John UK.

i recently picked up a gpg 905012 in usa for 230 with 1.3, 1.5, 1.8 nozzles and i got a te20 air cap right away. I honeslty was blown away on the smooth finish at 29 psi, very slight orange peel. Comparing to other panels on 14 grand cherokee it was smoother than chrysler factory finish

The caps aren’t all
Interchangeable, I bought a different cap and it didn’t fit over the 1.8 fluid tip LOL extremely disappointed. As the caps cost over £100 alone. This should be stated on reputable websites. Now promoted to polyester prime, .(wood finisher) the Un even build up put me off. For a gun under £200 it does feel nice. I like the shape feels a touch oldschool. Nice weight. I thought they would have rectified this as it looked like devilbiss played with air delivery by adding metal tunnels. There is a sweet spot to not getting bent build up. I also had this issue with the pri pro lite. Pr10.
I’ve now gone back to the trusty HD advance.
Big up gun man learnt a lot over the years💪🏻🤘🏻

Just picked one up with a 1.8 & 2.2. Spraying urethanes, polys, and thinned gelcoat for repairs.

Cheers

I recieved a gpg spraygun gun instead of a tekna primer (discontinued), the tips here in the US we can get up to a 2.0 tip.

Just wondering, what psi do you spray high build primer on the 1.8? And do you go wide open trigger? And thanks for the video you made me buy it.

Hello I have a question what's the adapter number for the liners

I purchased the devilbiss gpg spray gun and it came with a gpg2 cap. I can’t get the fan to adjust higher than a 4” fan. It does a fairly poor job of spraying. I used it once and went back to my older Concours gun. I’m spraying base with a 1.5 tip and have the input pressure around 26 psi. I’ve tried and tried to get it setup but nothing works. I sent a message to Devilbiss but have heard nothing. The gun is worthless to me the way it is and I’m looking for help to get it setup! Thanks, Mark!

Useble gun! But I prefer Hvlp guns with material economy last time. What could you say about new TE25 cup, some review?

Can someone tell me where they manufacture the GPG?

If I already have the gpi with a 1.4 and a 1.8 would you agree there is no need to get the gpg?
