How about hooking up tweeters and midrange speakers? Also adding a passive crossover. Does that change impedance?

yes you can wire it in parallel and depending on the ohm stability of the amp it wont damage any thing..but the speaker with the lowest impedance will get more power..in series the speakers will act as 1 and will both get the same power..in parallel the amp will see 2.6 ohm

I'm trying to connect two separate sub kicker boxes each with 2 twelves so in total it will be 4 twelves, I know it may be stupid or not right it's just a crazy idea ok had to get more sound out my sounds

I have a question. Can I hook up one 8 Ohms 500 watts speaker and one 4 Ohms 400 watts speaker? If so, what would be the resulting impedance? Would it cause damage or not?

can you do that kind of wiring to any speakers, i have 2 6x9 jvc speakers 4 ohms each and i have a 2 channel amplifier 1200watts it supports 4-8 ohms per channel and i want to add another speaker that is 8 ohms of impedance without buying a 4 channel amplifier, can you help me

hey, i just wired my own auxiliary wire for my amp so i can play music through the amp since it allows things like that. im pretty sure i did it right but the music is really soft and barely audible. do i need a power source or something?
