Why Europe Is Saving Russian LNG From Sanctions

EU refuses to ban Russian LNG through sanctions as that would leave Europe exposed in their negotiations with the US. In this episode, we’ll discuss what other reasons the EU might have to adopt a more positive stance regarding the Russian LNG as opposed to the Russian pipeline gas. French Defense Minister, Sebastien Lecornu is travelling to the US for a meeting with Pete Hegseth where they’ll discuss NATO issues regarding the war in Ukraine. Zelensky has stated that 40% of all weapons used by Ukraine in the war, are actually manufactured in Ukraine.

The problem with talking about ceasefires is Russia has had plenty of experience with Ukraine and the west breaking agreements, even recently when they accepted that energy infrastructures aren't to be targeted, then energy infrastructures were hit on Russian territory by Ukraine. They keep telling us Russia has always broken agreements, or that it's Russia that refuses to make agreements, but in reality it's the opposite, and if they are refusing then there's a good reason for it.

How exactly does the EU expect to pay Russia, and with what, for 'cheap' natural gas shipments? Especially in light that the EU has confiscated several hundred billion euros worth of Russia's foreign exchange funds and is slowly whittling down its value?
