That's what we need in our parliament. A critical mass of people who've been 'at the bottom of the crap pile through no fault of their own'. In the meantime what an advocate our dear Jacqui is! I'm an immigrant to Tasmanian (as a lifestyle refugee from the mainland), and I'm so proud of her when she's talking from her experience. Keep it up Jacqui. You have a powerful and articulate way of speaking that, if the mainstream pollies were listening, should show them what 'a gift of the gab' really is. I don't agree with or condone some of the things you say, Jacqui. But I want to thank you, as a 22 year old woman living in Tasmania that gets by on a paltry amount of Youth Allowance while studying full-time to become a teacher, for giving me and many other Australians scraping by on welfare payments a voice. My father is unemployed and my mother is working two jobs and receiving paltry Centrelink payments to raise my three youngest siblings, and hearing that families like mine aren't even being considered breaks my heart.

Well said Jacqui, I actually believe ALL politicians should have to live on the amount of money people on welfare get. There is no way any of them could survive, hell they can't even survive with the huge wages they get without dipping into the taxpayers money for all their bloody perks. I admire Jacqui Lambie, she's had to do it tough and now she's a politician and can still see how the average Australians are doing it touch.
