Hey folks, I need help. Just build a computer using a Corsair RM 850x. After making sure everyting worked, I went to the computer store and purchased some pretty-braided cables from a company called CableMod. Can anybody guess what happened when I flipped on the power switch ?? Or how about when I put my 2-day old Corsair cables back and turned on the power switch ? Well if you haven't guessed by now. Computer appeared to be dead with the aftermarket cables. With the Corsair cables reinstalled I had LED logo on the motherboard.

So is my motherboard fried ? What about the Ryzen processor ? What about the two NVMe drives ? or my video card ? or the Corsair PSU ? or the power-switch on the computer case.

I figured I would start by replacing the CPU.

Any idea what I might have done wrong. I do not recall forcing the aftermarket cables into the connections. Although the graphics card cable did not fit.

Did I just buy the wrong cables ? Or maybe the cables were defective ? or both ?

Or do I have some other problem that is just coincidental. My mother-in-law is in town now staying with us. Maybe her kharma or aorura touched my computer's aurora ??
