Il trailer non esalta più di tanto, in compenso il film è bellissimo. Uno dei migliori di Virzì.

Ma la smettete di parlare di ritratto del declino italiano, della morale italiana... aprite gli occhi, è una tragedia universale questa! Infatti il soggetto è tratto da un romanzo scritto da un americano! Aprite la mente!! Il film è un capolavoro, con attori uno più bravo dell'altro. Grande Virzì.

Film bellissimo e veritiero, giustamente candidato  per rappresentare l'italia agli oscar. Bravissimi tutti gli attori (compresi i giovani). Un apprezzamento particolare a Gifuni l'altra sera per caso l'ho visto in Galantuomini dove interpretava un corretto magistrato con accento salentino e poi l'ho ritrovato ad interpretare un viscido uomo d'affari con accento brianzolo... davvero un bravo ed a mio parere sottovalutato attore italiano.

This movie met if not exceeded my expectations before watching this eventful film. I was not aware there was a novel until reading previous comments, and I will make sure to look for this novel as the books always tend to be just a tad better. The actors played their parts rather marvelous! Each character had their own struggles going on, besides the main battle of the movie. By the end of the movie you just felt sorry for some and their way of being/what struggles they were going through.

The whole plot was divided into chapters from different characters’ perspectives which helped the viewer understand more what is going on in each characters’ lives (there is a lot). And so because of this you were more in touch with their emotions. It was amazing how there may have been multiple perspectives on the main incident that brings this movie together, however, they all connect just perfectly. Each of the characters which we see input on has a great internal struggle going on, which helps the plot become so much more dramatic and amazing! Hands down would watch this again, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good eventful, dramatic, and changing of a character type of movie!

It was a great movie. Great acting and directing and I like the editing of the movie. I would not have enjoyed this movie in the theater. It is great that we have streaming services. The moral of the story is that people of devoid of character and integrity irrespective of their social and economic class. Carla is a spouse who is unfulfilled. Her marriage is not devoid of love, rather she feels useless like she does not have anything to offer. So, she despises per position as a wife and seeks out things that cause more damage to her emotional health. She also despises her husband. Note to men, avoid marrying women that do not have anything to offer other than their womanhood. They will eventually get bored with their position and hate you for it. Carla even despises her husband's business acumen even though he is pursuing business decisions for the betterment of the family. Like a smart businessman would not take advantage of an economic downturn. Her struggle is internal and has nothing to do with her husband. This is evident when said out loud that "Carla is too dumb to understand" because her husband did not have the time to explain. Giovanni did notice her distress explained it to her. So he is redeemable in a sense. She then wanted to continue and set up a dinner for them to feel closer and Giovanni rejected it because he needed to fix the issue at hand. Carla did not want to have dinner to be closer. She was wracked with guilt for carrying on a months-long extramarital affair. Luca and Serena were in a bad situation that revealed their low character. Simply thing was to stop immediately and call the medical support for the guy that Luca hit with the vehicle. That guy could have lived. They could have even driven him to the hospital. I do get what Serena calculations. She has to choose between a physically abusive ex and a deviant who killed a guy. She chooses the latter. She has a bright future ahead of her (sarcasm). Interesting note: the guy would not have been killed if they did not meet and immediately form an intense bond. I am not sure why she was not charged with obstruction of justice. Serena's step-father is a piece of shit. The dude is consumed with money and loves it so much that he is willing to do anything. He would literally do anything but I guess he does not have anything else in his life. His daughter gives zero fucks about him. So in essence, the adult men in this show are consumed with money and the women are consumed doing anything to be happy. The interesting thing is that the men are the ones that get what they wanted. The lesson, the pursuit of money will make you happy bit the pursuit of happiness will leave you void.

This film was great, but I don't think the trailer does it justice. The use of Rehab definitely seems wrong to me.
