This may be a long shot but this is my theory about him taking the baby. The description says that he's using the baby to lure a powerful being and I'm thinking it might be Pan that he's trying to lure. Remember that Pan was searching everywhere for a baby and maybe Rumple had an inkling that Baelfire was in Neverland? Maybe he was using the baby to get to Baelfire....

Its fun to see Rumple returning to his fairy tale roots. Rumple's a very interesting character but over the years he has never successfully stolen a baby. At this point, Snow White has stolen more babies than him...

Timeline wise Rumple & Belle are the 1st True Love couple. Writers need to remember that.

You know, I love the Belle and Rumple episodes but I would really like a legitimate and complete timeline for what happens when in them. So far we've got Robin Hood breaking in, her meeting with Milan, Hook breaking into the castle, and now this baby stuff. WHAT'S THE RIGHT ORDER, DUDE?

i swear if this baby is morpheus, then who's the baby inside belle? id like 2think jack&jill's son is morpheus. also if it is him?! cud morpheus b BATBs cogsworth. bc that wud b the only reason as to y this flashback cud exist as his birth was sped-up and didnt know she was holding her son that whole time. i now wanna know who that baby was. i mean, at this time. nealfire was still w pan in neverland, rumple never knew. he always assumed baelfire was in LWM, but bc hook never told him. rumple kept looking for a way to get to baelfire in LWM, when he shudv found a way to get to neverland instead... basically hook knew where baelfire was, this is another reason why rumple wud still b h8n hook, bc of him. rumple wudv found baelfire sooner w pan (rumples own evil father) if hook had told rumple, baelfire was in neverland and not LWM, ofc henry wudv still had2b born, bc henrys heart was the1 thing pan needed to live forever. also, baelfire wudv never had become neal, nor wud he had never met emma and as always henry wudv never been born, nonetheless the dark curse wudv never happened and regina wudv never adopted henry through rumple, bc emma wudv never been born. so that she cud become the savior and break reginas curse. im certain f that baby turns out 2b morpheus, then how did he get to the past?! did belle throw him down the well, a portal to the past?! she does a sacrifice thisEP, so if this is morpheus' untold story, which it is... this cud b it. belle threw morpheus down a portal, which most likely b at zelenas farm, her time portal and rumbelle r truly broken, bc of this aftermath is connected to the flashback. i hope im overthinking it, but if this theory becomes true, and this is what belle did to morpheus to protect him from rumple. jack&jill cudv found that baby &claimd it as their own. rumbelle is never getting back together. not by a long shot. bc this is how rumple will truly h8 belle and not just himself, she wudv done what milah did to baelfire, only belle did it worst. milah abandoned baelfire, bc she stopped loving rumple who also ruined their marriage bc of that deal w the healer. belle wud do the same, but it was to sacrifice the1 thing she truly luvd more than rumple, bc of that same deal re: morpheus' fate. i really do hope im wrong about this, bc of belles friendship w hook, rumple feels like he has already lost her which is y he stays w TEQ. the longer he is away from belle, the longer she'd realize she wants him back. i luv rumbelle, but not if i have to watch them fight like this. nxt thing u know, belle will b officially milah2.0 esp. f rumple actually tries to kill her, not bc she left him for her friendship w hook, but bc belle sent their son away, so both of them wud never raise him. &thats y morpheus h8s rumple, bc of what belle did to protect him from rumple forcing their son to luv him. rumples charac has gone downhill ever since he lost baelfire/neal. history is repeating itself, just in a justified horrific way possible. poor rumple. i really hope that baby isnt morpheus, bc rumple wud h8 himself even more, f past belle named him morpheus in the past. belle knows their son h8s rumple, belle shud b helping their son prevent it from happening, morpheus is the1 thing that cud stop rumple from been TDO using his magic for good &not evil, but belle has been making it worse ever since, she left him in the land of untold stories. rumple probably sent the baby to that land, and didnt know the child was his. so, if this is how the writers r gonna keep rumbelle, as the live-action mv coming out, i h8 OUATsBATB arc.
