Footage shows thugs attempting to steal motorbike before crashing into bush

Footage of the moment two armed robbers attempted to steal a motorbike from a busy city centre square has been shared with the ECHO.

The video was taken in Abercromby Square on the University of Liverpool campus yesterday afternoon. The video shows two thugs wearing all black clothing with their faces covered.

This is how ridiculous the UK has become, the police response to theft is appalling, they'd rather you report it to your insurance and let them deal with it rather than get involved in actually catching anyone responsible.

These scroats know this and even when they're faced with multiple people trying to prevent them making off with the bike, they couldn't care less because they know the police haven't got the resources to respond.

That little scroat struggling to pick the bike up is hardly able to even push it, nevermind steal it.

By dropping it multiple times it will be so damaged it'll be written off anyway.

What I can't understand is the number of people there could easily just grab that bike off them.

Even if they don't want to tackle them, they could easily grab a wheel or handlebar and slow them down until they get bored and give up.

Years ago this just wouldn't happen because people used to care, now people would rather film it and put it on social media.😳⚠️😲

Let's not forget that bike is someone's pride and joy, they've worked hard for and is most likely their transport to work.

The aftermath and trauma to the owner is significant and can be devastating.

My bike is like a member of my family, if someone stole my car, it would be inconvenient but if they took my bike it would be like losing a brother!😲⚠️😳🤔

Now if you’d have called the cops and said they were damaging a ULEZ camera then they would be on scene in two seconds flat. But a real crime like this doesn’t get the attention, oh that’s because we have no police as the government can’t recruit 30, 000 as promised as they all join and most leave quickly, but like the prison service
