6L6 Vacuum Tube Tesla Coil Overview (built in 1969)

This video gives an overview of my 6L6 vacuum tube Tesla coil (VTTC). This is the first Tesla coil that I made. I built it in 1969 and it still operates over 50 years later. Its based on a Miller commercial RF coil which incorporates the primary coil, the secondary coil, and the grid feedback coil into one device. These RF coils are no longer available. This VTTC is based on the "Li'l TC" article from the July 1964 edition of Popular Electronics. There is another video on my channel showing it in operation.

Do you power the filaments first before applying plate voltage, or does that switch turn on the filaments & plate simultaneously?
