So you want to know how to BEND The RIGHT WAY on guitar, well that's what this lesson is all about. Most, if not all, of the world's greatest guitarists use bends in their playing; Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix... But maybe most famously, and the guitarist who popularized the technique, the great B.B. King - He was the "King Of Blues" for a reason.

Each of these artists used bending in such a way their guitars "spoke". They went beyond just the everyday licks and riffs that are core to any guitarists playing and added this technique to take them to that next level. There are so many things we can learn from these incredible musicians, and this is absolutely a lesson worth digging into.

If you want to take your playing to that next level, make sure to internalize this lesson.

No matter what tutorial I watched on how too bend none of them actually taught me how. They all left me more confused than when before I pressed on the video. I am getting the intermediate stage of my guitar playing. So bending was next on my list to get to that stage. This video helped me so much! I can bend up too two notes! I've never done bending properly until I watched this video. Thank you so much Ayla you have helped me so much!

I'm a beginner at bending (been playing less than 6 months), and over the last 2 weeks I've probably watched 30 different videos on bending, and I still wasn't getting it. THEN literally a day later this video came out, and I knew Ayla would save me...and Alya did. So dam good at teaching. We're lucky to have you!

BB King taught the world that that less is more. Its not the speed but hitting the right notes which evoke right emotions!

Using a tuner is good advice! I made fast progress in intonating bends when I used a permanently-on tuner. A head stock tuner might eat batteries and mostly they are auto-off. The Peterson Strobostomp Tuner might be expensive, but was the only tuner I could find that stays on, doesn't mute, and has an easy readable display so you can check your intonation with peripheral vision. An app may also work.

Vielen Dank.

You will develop the strength to bend if it is more difficult on that particular guitar or your fingers are not that strong yet. I bended snares on an acoustic guitar only and I did not find it a problem. It is like when you start playing and the fingers hurt because you have no callus yet. After a few weeks it already it gets a lot better. The body adapts, it just needs some time to get used to it.
