PES 2015 Gameplay Preview: We've played it! | PS4 HD 720p

We've played PES 2015, but is it finally better than FIFA? Find out in this PS4 preview of PES 2015, with CVG's resident PES obsessive Dan Dawkins and Official PlayStation Magazine's Matthew Pellett.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, better known as PES 2015, is due to arrive later this year. PES 2015 is confirmed for PlayStation 4, and likely to also arrive on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3.

PES used to be fun but Konami killed it! Since Pes 2010 it became slow and boring and it gets worse year after year. Pes 4 and Pes 2009 are my favourite Pes, super fast paced and fun, not like the last Pes games which are tedious. Its funny, Fifa got faster gameplay and Pes got slower gameplay, i feel like a slug when i play it. So shitty.

I used to be PES fan till 2010, after that, FIFA all the way! But 2 weeks ago, I downloaded PES 14, and what can I say, the animations and moves Looks better to me than FIFA, the game looks realistic, and it's the best PES game since 2011, the rag doll physics is good, graphics is also better for PC at least, why FIFA is better? the answer: Because of the mechanics of the gameplay! in FIFA I feel more control over my team, it's more natural to play, the defending system in FIFA is much better, I don't really care about licenses and ultimate team, I care about gameplay, And for now FIFA has better gameplay, plus I like the celebrations in FIFA, you celebrate the way you want, PES don't have that, but still! Im really looking forward to PES 15, if that is true, that KONAMI is bringing back our favorite gameplay, I would love to see it in September, and of course I can't wait for FIFA 15 too, it promises some good innovations and finally new engine, still, if I like PES 15 more than FIFA 15, I will be happy to return to my favorite football game of my childhood ! So let's wait, and compare them again!

It's nice to see a fifa player appreciating the game. For me, cutting the delays that were present in the previous game is good enough to warrant buying it. But then again am an avid pes fan. Can't wait for it to grace the new gen at last. Konami, I love you!

No one is impressed. Konami can no longer carry this game. They should sell the franchise to 2K so we the fans can have something to smile about. Maybe if we are lucky they will even do the honorable thing and actually pay for the licenses to leagues that people actually care about.

I still play pes 6, eight years on! One of the best sport titles ever!!

I think that pes 2014 with all updates was very good, i like it... I read good things in news for pes 2015.. Hope the return of the King

Though EA has had a bad reputation.... I still pick Fifa over this piece of work to be honest. PES was never ever taken seriously by anyone. Not even the hardcore football enthusiasts who play games.

Pro Evolution Soccer 3 was the last in the series worth anything and it was brilliant.
 
I played that for years until Fifa10 came along, downloaded the demo from PSN after playing it in my local game and was absolutely blown away. 

I downloaded the PES13 demo out of curiosity and was appalled.

Hate how people use the licensing issue against PES, Honestly, it gets modded within a few days of release and every team will have their own kits. Yes the game has been a tad lackluster in recent years but nothing came close to the PES 5/6 days, where you had to change tactics during games, every game felt unique and different and every player had their own characteristics. FIFA certainly doesn't do that, its the same game released every year. I know for a fact next years game will still feature overpowered through balls, probably kick off glitches and other retarded things that really shouldn't be in a next gen title. The reason why none of this will change is because they don't need to, they don't have major competition and until they do, every game will likely be half assed as the year before. I'm not biased towards either game, we just deserve better after spending £100's on football titles that don't offer much gameplay wise. I'm still playing PES 6 with updated rosters and kits because I got bored of FIFA 14 after a few months, I have an ultimate team with Ronaldo, Bale, Messi etc.. and can not be bothered playing with them. Come on Konami, bring a good title out, last chance.

i just played demo and i have to say this pes is fantastic
shot on goal is awsome, passes are great, graphic is also great..overall 9/10

I like the idea of having player attributes as opposed to tricks. It will seperate the best from the rest. Something both pes and fifa lack. Individuality.

The first soccer game I ever played was I.S.S 98 and I still think that game is amazing. Then I played FIFA 2004 for GBA then FIFA 06 WC, FIFA 08, FIFA 10 and FIFA 13. So over the years I became a FIFA player but whenever there was a demo for PS3 I would always try PES and be disappointed. PES 10, 11 and 12 were terrible imo. The shooting was unrealistic, passes were too snappy and the overall animations were off. Then my FIFA 13 disc broke and I decided to try PES 14 and oh my. That game was beautiful. IT HAD ITS FLAWS but the way you could control the tempo of a game was amazing. Players like Pirlo actually felt so great to use and felt like the real thing. I remember dribbling with Özil and thinking damn thats just like him. The shooting animations FIFA takes the cake easily. Another problem was that players often got unnecessarily stuck with another in tackling animations. If PES smoothed out the animations and made it a tad faster if would be the best game out there. Not to mention proper licensing.

A lot faster response times, and a smoother game. That's me sold. I actually thought there was a good game trying to get out in PES 2014, but the hardware couldn't handle it.
Dying to play a new football game. As it is now, I'm not playing anything!

I am really excited for this game, 2014 was a letdown for me. I have played every game in the series, so i hope this is as good as 2013 was for me.

i hope the motion of team posing for the camera before the match comeback in this game, bring back the classic feels about them as well as player's name in the bottom of screen like showed in this game :D
