A Utah man is happy about a new law making convicted DUI drivers pay for child support

DO IT - I’m in!! Life has been unbelievably hard for our nephew’s wife after he was killed at age 29 by a careless driver. He left a 3 & 5 yr old and a stay at home wife. Insurance & military benefits have helped but aren’t enough to cover everything as expenses grow with the kids! His death has immensely affected our family and his wife has found it extremely difficult to move past it….. 10 years later she is still grieving and is not ready to remarry yet, so she is doing her best to support and raise their children on a single income even after having to sell the family home!

I don’t see how they will make any substantial payments, doing time for manslaughter or murder. How does this actually work?
