Early Release? Look What I Found at my Local Bookstore! #shorts

Thank you Pamela for talking so softly about the Kinkade book, lol. i bought the big book when I was in the States at an actual bookstore, (everything is usually from Amazon). I was so excited because I had a coloured reference page. I have tried several times to tackle a page, lay down the colour and get so turned off. I thought it was my problem that the pencil looked so ugly on the page. I would then flip the page and try another small image. i really dislike the book so much. You cleared up my frustration by mentioning that the problem is the smooth paper. I guess if I really want to use anything from that book, I should print it out, I would like to know if Velum Bristol paper is tougher to blend and is it grainy? I notice that you list that type of paper. i can't get Springhill, but can get comparable in Neenah. I also have a package of Neenah Exact Index 110 smooth and Canson Drawing paper 70 lb. I am going to order the Tan Strathmore that you suggested for greyscale and a paper cutter similar to yours. Do you think if I purchased one of the more budget friendly ones on Amazon that it would work for me? I'm not the greatest with that stuff, so I need as fuss free as possible.
