Trick to always turn the nut or bolt the right way

How to always know the right direction to turn a bolt or nut. A simple trick to be able to quickly identify what direction to turn the bolt if your reaching behind, or laying on the ground and reaching.

Thank you so much! Sometimes a complex setup with a weird angle can be confusing to ambidextrous people like myself. Because I don't have strong right-side dominance, my brain can sometimes get confused about right and left, especially when working at an upside-down angle.

Point your right thumb in the direction you want the bolt to go and whichever direction your fingers curl is the direction you turn the bolt.

I snap middle and thumb on right hand. That rotation tightens.

Snapping fingers on left hand, loosens, as long as the threads are right handed.

This is fuckin confusing not gonna lie. Back knuckle to front knuckle? Duh fuck? I think it’s easier to just think of the nut as a clock and imagine it turning either clockwise or counter clockwise
