The first 50 minutes of this film felt like a hangover film with all the partying lol. But then it picked up pretty fast and I really liked the second half. So much fun

@ 3:44, If you pay close attention to that scene you are referring to, you can see the GPS screen in car they are driving, and the map says they are getting close to their destination. So it wasn't that those people on the hilltop KNEW to be there. They were already there, it's that our characters finally made it TO them.

Chris is not kidding about the lack of action. The car chase they show in the trailer is the ONLY shootout in the entire movie. Its a well done scene but yeah don't expect this to be an action movie.

The part when they snipe them on the hill, I though O'Shea put the meetup spot on his GPS, and they made it there (or at least close enough) for the guys to be there to show up.

At 3:50 that one got me thinking if Gerald was already planning something behind the scenes, that worked for me and kept me interested until the end. All about perspective I guess.

Actually enjoyed the first one for its gritty pseudo-realism and Butler’s grimy unhinged performance. This version felt like a letdown on both of those fronts and instead we got a slicker, M:I-style heist movie with a buddy cop element. Really didn’t love it but it kept me entertained, and anything that gets Salvatore Esposito more exposure is a plus.
