16:00 another important thing ACE does is it breaks down bradykinin. Therefore ACEi will disinhibit bradykinin breakdown and cause a dry cough as an adverse effect. ARBs won't have this AE because they block ATII receptors, not ACE, so a patient on losartan can still break down bradykinin. This is important to know for exams.

I studied your videos for the HESI nursing entrance exam and got a 100 in Anatomy section. Now, I’m attending your lectures for my Nursing Pharmacology class. I always look at your videos first before looking for anyone else in YouTube. Thank you so much and God Bless! Greetings from Florida, USA.

Amazing Lecture! Thank you for taking the time to explain such a bread and butter topic. I would like to point out that in 2017 the ACC/AHA updated their guidelines. Beta-blockers are no longer recommended as initial monotherapy. They recommend that initial therapy be chosen from among ACE inhibitors, ARBs, Thiazide-like diuretics, and long acting CCBs. Please keep up with the great content!

Dr. Mike, thank you so much! You explain things in a way that's super easy to follow. As a new grad nurse in a cardiac ICU, your videos are helping me strengthen my basics so I can better understand hemodynamics. I can't believe this kind of content is free, much appreciated and thank you for your work :)

what other lecturers teach in 2 hour you teach it in less than half an hour and teach it so effectively that there is no need of watching that 2 hrs time wasting lecture.. please never stop making videos. it will be more helpful if you make more pharmacology videos especially on ANS. much love from Pakistan.
