When teaching children about senses, it's helpful to give them a point of reference for the different kinds of senses there are.

"What Do Senses Do", from "Senses" (2019) is a musical memory tool that can help children remember "see, hear, taste, smell, touch" as the 5 senses that "tell you so much".

Extend this song with a sensory game!
-Use a blindfold or a bag or box you can only put your hands inside, smell, shake and listen to, Use noise cancelling headphones and see if they can guess the song by feeling the beat coming from the speaker!

-Have them put on noise cancelling headphones and watch you dance and mouth the words! Can you guess what song I'm acting out?

-fill small jars with different scented oils. What do you smell?

-Have a bag with different textured fabrics. What words would you use to describe how each feels?
