Warren releases intense questions for Hegseth confirmation hearing

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has released a list of questions she intends to ask Pete Hegseth during his Senate confirmation hearings for the secretary of defense post. CBS News' Scott MacFarlane reports.

I'd like to ask Congress a question. I want the names of the congressmen and the 17 million dollars of sexual harassment lawsuits that they paid out with our tax dollars

Really, those questions should be de facto, part of a general application for ALL appointees. Criminal record, sexual misconduct, substance abuse, financial misdealings? Answer those under oath, have an FBI background check, those should be automatic DQs. And then after that, they can go before the Senate where the people can ask substantive policy questions.

Did they turn in his FULL background check? If not, why do this hearing? If he won't answer the questions asked, he should be rejected. He is not qualified for the job. How can he not know that there aren't quotas in the infantry yet wants to lead? Wtf?

The fact that he’s not a bureaucrat is a plus, one has only to look at the past. And considering his moral character, no one in the Hill is any better than Hegseth, particularly Warren who has misrepresented herself as a Native American.
