Once, when my parents were visiting us at my grandparents's house, my baby sister was crupying in he4 crib, and, her father was just sitting there.
Our old mama cat, Bootsy, looked at the baby, looked at Dad, like, "Well? Arent you going to do something?"
Finally, she jumped in the crib, didnt go near her face, but, laid with her side against the soles of the baby's feet, and, purred.
She stopped crying, and started giggling.
* Then*, Dad looked up, and, said, " No wonder she's crying, there's a cat in her bed!"
There was a reason that I preferred to live with my grandparents.

My cat used to just sit with me when I was upset and lean against me. She was never a lap cat apart from in her older years but she would always just know when I needed some comfort. I miss her ❤

Cats are amazingly smart ❤ I was sitting on my chair crying a few weeks back and my cat came up to me, hopped into my lap and purred as he snuggled in, letting me cry against him. ❤ He can be the sweetest boy sometimes!
