Everyone and his dog knows what Russia's _minimum_ conditions for a ceasefire are.
They were stated last July.
Essentially the same as the April 2022 deal that Boris Johnson kyboshed plus the _entirety_ of the five regions being internationally recognised as Russia.

But if more regions are taken then the price goes up.

To be fair, Lukashenko's visit was scheduled for weeks - and he is the President of a foreign, friendly, country. Steve, might be important, but diplomatic etiquette demands that a scheduled President be given priority, over a lesser diplomat, who scheduled their visit much more recently...

It's very simple, read the ultimatum he sent to Biden 1 month before the special operation.

If the U.S. makes even the slightest concession to Russian expansionism in an effort to achieve peace with ease, China, which is currently pushing for similar expansionism, will gain absolute confidence and no one will be able to stop it. If East Asia were to enter China's sphere of influence, there is no doubt that the American people would be forced to pay not just the $350 billion invested in Ukraine, but an even larger amount of taxpayer money, a whopping $30 trillion, to protect Hawaii and the West Coast from the threat of a powerful and unleashed Chinese military.

Biased, condescending and inadequate.

Putin did issue a statement, no ceasefire until a deal is finalized
Last time the ceasefires were used to allow the Ukrainian army to rearn and regroup
So he won't agree to pause to give time for a deal

I felt a renewed sense of the historic ties between America, Europe, and our Eastern neighbors, and I'm proud to be a part of this partnership. The direction we need to move in, and the role we must play, is crystal clear to me, and it gives hope for the many generations to come. I will act accordingly.

Many people here say that one side is solely responsible for the conflict. But let’s consider a hypothetical situation: imagine that in countries neighboring the United States, Americans start facing severe discrimination, their culture is suppressed, and they are placed in increasingly unsafe conditions, forcing them to flee their homes and relocate to small towns. These towns are then subjected to daily shelling, while hostile military forces surround them. At the same time, these neighboring countries begin to strengthen ties with America’s geopolitical rivals, hosting their military bases and weapons. With Russia, North Korea and China in particular. How long would the U.S. tolerate such a situation?

This thought experiment highlights that complex conflicts rarely have a simple, one-sided truth. Any country in such a position would respond in some way. It’s crucial to understand the causes and consequences rather than reducing everything to a black-and-white perspective.
