Lets hope Will Arnet and Liam Neeson's next animated movie will be a success (The LEGO Movie). I have no doubts.

Before its release, I was having some hopes for this movie, mostly because the character designs reminded me of Don Bluth (my non-Disney animation idol). But no... I should've known better. I think this is on par with Adam Sandler's Eight Crazy Nights (because of having the same problems IMHO; an unlikeable main character, decent-looking animation that does nothing new or creative, horrible jokes and a cast of annoying and despicable characters). And yes people, this and that movie I mentioned are two of the WORST animated films I've ever had the courage to check out.
P.S: Another thing is that people debate whether the animation to this movie is decent or not. I'm in the "decent" side. Under normal circumstances... yes, the designs are too plain and unoriginal (I'll admit), but at least for me, it does look like as if Don Bluth decided to go CGI.

I knew this one would flop. When the trailer played during Frozen, I face-palmed hard and just wanted it to end.

Fun Fact:In international Territories it was distributed by Universal and released on blu ray and dvd by them. I think it was only distributed by Weinstein in the UK.

Honestly, although I do like the character design, I think the animation looks unfinished.

Keep in mind surly is voiced by the man who would voice bojack horseman.

I really loved the way Surly was designed. I'm not sure what it is but it's just nice to look at; the tuft of chest fur really accents the look somehow. Also, I found it fascinating at how realistic the wire climbing animations were. It was very convincingly squirrely :3 I regularly watch unloved movies so this and Escape From Planet Earth are things that don't waste my time because nearly all movies fascinate me :)
