Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

If I can add to Rick's review, I recently went for a fitting and tried everything. Jpx 925 hot metal, ai200, ping g730, Wilson dynapower, ai smoke. You name it. And let me tell you, I knew nothing about the Elyte line. But for me, a high handicap golfer, these irons out performed all the others. Sounds, feel, and the severity of my missed shots was less than all the others. Not to mention the consistency and forgiveness was amazing. I thought for sure I was gonna love the Jpx 925 hot metals, but they came in a close second. I was surpassed at how good the Elyte irons were. This was my experience, everyone is different.

My swing speed is 75mph, ball speed was 103 to 105. If that helps

A 28 degre 7i with 5000 rpm spin, look out for the random flyer that goes like 220 for no reason 😂

Still not sure youre the right person to test these irons, 100 mph swing speed and Pro V1's are not the target user, get someone with an 80 - 85mph swing speed and supersoft, Ad333 or speedsoft balls then look at distances and spin rates

Every year the bullshit hits a new level with these new release irons.

I have 2009 Taylormade R9 Irons and recently I updated to some 2022 Honma 757P Irons and sure the Honmas are slightly nicer but the old Taylormades are more forgiving and arguably easier to hit. I've hit P790s and old Greg Normans and its all really about feel and the numbers in the end.

After I saw the price I quit watching, I'll just go with Tacomo, atleast with them you don't have to pay for 50% name

Recommendation, buy Takomo set for 1/3 of the cost

Sorry if this has been asked before, it would be great to see clubface impact location on Foresight after each shot . That way viewers can see how much forgiveness there is...

I DID NOT WANT TO LIKE THE ELYTE! I play the Ping G20s- YES, +14 yo... like my scotch (with an early season 20 handicap, moving to a 14 by season-end). I am finally upgrading these old but consistent irons. I tested the Titleist T350, Ping G440 & 730, TaylorMade Qi and Mizuno JPX 925, as well as the Callaway Elyte in steel and graphite. I initially favored the T350 (better dispersion) and JPX 925 (wonderful softness, but erratic distances that were sometimes hot/long and made it difficult to gap with my Titleist TSr2 5h & GT2 7w that I am consistent with). After multiple testings with both steel and graphite, I settled (with the advice of my Fitter) on the Callaway Elyte 6-GW in the stock KBS MAX 80 steel shaft. The dispersion with the Elyte, for me, was tighter than the T350 and I had more consistent distance production (not longer) as well; letting me better gap my set for lower potential scores. I overcame the bias against Callaway and also found that the club was pretty freekin' appealing in looks and feel... looking more like a player's distance iron than a Game Improvement club. Finally, the steel shaft gave me a better feel and feedback on my strikes. The feedback I gained on my mis-hits was astounding... better forgiveness and more consistent distant production. I thought the graphite would offer the softness I desired, but it lacked intuitive feedback and control upon strike. I ended up purchasing the Callaway Elyte, Reg. KBS MAX 80 steel shaft, with a -1.0 loft and 2 up lie (My Fitter agreed on the 2 up lie in my transition from a white dot G20 iron). Who knew that getting clubs fitted by a professional actually works!?!?! I kept an open mind with my Fitter and was willing to consider the data and trust my instinct. David... a real, unpaid and unbiased reviewer. I definitely did not seek out the Callaway line of irons. Thx Trent, My Fort Myers, Florida Fitter.

The 5000 RPM is smack on for a 5 iron though.

Which is what a 28° club used to be. If I recall, my first (mp14) was 29°.

Amazing how far we’ve come.

Review the Cleveland Zip-core xl irons. Probably half the price and perform as well as these. Most golfers don't have these top end brands in the bag.

Hi Rick! Thanks for another review. You talking about the sole of the clubs made me think of Srixon irons and the fact that I have not seen you review any of those for many years now. Are there any specific reasons for that, or is it just coincidence? I still remember your review of the Srixon Z-lineup at the Grove from many years ago. That review made me buy Srixon irons, and today even many tour pros use them. Hideki Matsuyama for instance, who just won the first PGA-Tour event of the season...

Happy to take a set Rick and try them in the land down under if you like.

Rbz full set and stix full sets are just as good and whole set a third of the price

Those cutting on the sole reminds me that of japanese irons such as MIURA or ZODIA CB irons. That really helps you turf exits

Finally an iron set with adequate "microspheres".
