I've heard about Mendel's pea plants in college but i always wondered how all the tall plants can all be the exact same height...there has to be some variation more than just tall or short, possibly epigenetically or due to environmental factors. Or do these plants all grow to the exact same height (tall or short) and the excess variation is simply due to different growth stages?

great work! but I have a question! u said that the same gene has the same locus in all organisms! but how is that u mean between organisms from same species or all organisms between one another? for example is it right to say that the height gene in human located in the same locus as the height gene of chicken for example?? and if yes how! we both have different number of chromosomes?

Wait... You said that if someone haa a tall mum and a short dad, then all of the children will grab mum's genes? I have a short mum and a tall dad. My mum's first child grabbed my mum's genes, even though she is short. Her second child and I, the third child, grabbed my dad's genes. My sisters (yes, the first and second child are my sisters) are about the same height. The first child was born in 1992 and the second child was born in 1997. I was born in 2001. That's why people think the first and second child are twins. So do you mean that if someone has a tall mum and a short dad, most of the children will grab mum's genes?
