It is a sign of an exceptional talent when an artist can perform one of their own songs live as well or even better as the polished recording studio original. Here Jake Bugg does just that.

I'm a 75 year old ageing fifties Rock'n'Roller and Country & Western addict, who knew nothing about Jake until now. But I have heard this track many times whilst watching the best drama series EVER!....Happy Valley! Two minutes into each episodeJake strums in like a combine harvester...talk about impact...watch it ...everybody....get the boxed set...now! Incidentally, my son has just bought Shangri La....I just might borrow it!

This is pithy song - a wonderful brother of Dirty Ole Town. Trouble Town is perfectly paired with the series Happy Valley. Each feeds from and contributes to the other so very well. Great series, great song.

Started watching Happy Valley because of the comments 😂😂 But anyways Jake Bugg has an incredible talent. I also found one of my favorite shows via Jake. Its called Turn: Washington Spies and his cover of the song Turnpin Hero plays either the first or second episode. I highly reccomend it, and its on Netflix.
